My name is Anastasia and I am a professional freelance makeup artist in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
I believe that makeup is an asset that adds a little bit of confidence to every woman.
I was born in Russia and came to Canada when I was a teenager. I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wilfred Laurier University in 2011 and have been working in the field for many years.
My passion for makeup started when I got my hands on a pink strawberry lipstick as a little girl. This excited me so much at a young age and I couldn’t wait to experiment more. Ultimately, this is what kick started my journey as an aspiring self-taught makeup artist. Years down the road it became a profession of mine, something I love and admire.
I specialize in natural looks and enhancement of beauty. I have worked with numerous photographers, on TV sets and have explored editorial work. I have also been featured and published in various magazines and online blogs throughout Canada. I always take time to make sure that all of my clients are happy with the outcome ;
I believe in quality over quantity.
In 2014, I received my first certificate in Ontario and was also certified by Samer Khouzami in Vancouver, BC. Recently, I received a certificate of completion in hairstyling from Ulyana Aster in Toronto, ON, Mario Devidanovic, who is known for his work as Kim Kardashian's makeup artist, in Los Angeles, CA and Goar Avetisyan.
In 2019 I was a recipient of The Alberta Hair and Beauty Awards - Bridal Hair and Makeup Specialist of the Year and in 2020 I was a nominee for Bridal Makeup Specialist of the year.
In 2020 I was honoured to be on the list of the best makeup artists in Calgary.
